winterSALON/2012: 'ALCHEMY LOOKBOOK' by Conny Groenewegen & Eric von Robertsen

For winterSalon/ 2012, fashion designer Conny Groenewegen and artist Eric von Robertson are collaborating to develop a setting in which to shoot the 'Alchemy' lookbook and further imagine the atmosphere around her most recent collection. This installation also features a special edition of photos by Frederik Heyman.

winterSALON/2012: YOUASME MEASYOU

This sunday January 22nd from 17:00 - 20:00 youasme measyou will organise a salon presentation at the Koetshuis of Museum van Loon, Keizersgracht 672, Amsterdam. Their third collection 'RECOVER' for fall/winter 2012-2013 will be presented by the brands 'Family of Founders'. 

The brand youasme measyou specialises in high quality knitwear and jerseys for both men and women.  youasme is one of the first labels who integrated crowd sourcing into knitwear they called the Family of Founders: '500 people bring 500 euro to launch 2 fashion brands', a remarkable and foreward idea of new creative interpreneurship gaining loans to set up a label in a whimsical economy and idem creative culture designer Mark van Vorstenbos and art-director Twan Janssen of youasme and measyou are dealing with. 
     
The clever designs of the knitwear are made to last and are created with the finest Italian yarns. The collections youasme and measyou, one for men and one for woman, clearly complete each other but are also available separately.

Special exhibition of COLLECTIE ARNHEM - January 26th at Lauriersgracht 152

COLLECTIE ARNHEM is a fashion collection that is created every year by third year students of the bachelor Fashion Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem. Creating this collection the students do everything themselves: from concept and designing to styling and managing the show. In this process they not only learn to relay on the designing skills which are trained, also business and organisation skills will be discovered during this special third year of their fashion education. They are guided by 

designers Peter Jeroense and Elja Lintsen. 

On January 26th a special COLLECTIE ARNHEM exhibition will be opened during winterSALON/2012 at the Lauriersgracht 152 where the viewer can experience the 'Age Of Aquarius' - the concept of this years collection - if in an other time and place.

winterSALON/2012 presents: KARIN ARINK

Karin Arink (b.Delft, 1967, grew up in Bosten USA) works with textual and visual media. She makes signs of the metamorphoses of our states of self: interactions between the physical and the corporeality experience on one hand, and ideas on how you should manifest yourself through body, garment, language and signs on the other. 

Arink (1967) graduated at the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam. She won the First Prize Prix de Rome Sculpture 1992. Her work is showed from Belgium to Tokyo, and now she will surprise us with new work on winterSALON/2012. 

Karin Arink lives and works in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
